2 Peter 1:10-11 is the text for this sermon entitled, "Make a Diligent Effort in Christian Virtues." The word "diligent" means to make haste, to be diligent, to be eager, to be zealous; to exert oneself with a strong endeavor. The result, Peter tells us, is that we will be able to confirm our calling and never to stumble. Today's lesson focuses on the four important things that our diligence affords us:

1.  Confirms our calling
2.  Confirms our election
3.  Is the actual practice of the Christian virtues
4.  Is richly provided with an eternal welcome
