Guest Biography 
Dr. Juxi Leitner is a Research Fellow at the Australian Centre of Excellence for Robotic Vision (ACRV). Dr. Leitner's research focus is on integrating Robotics, Computer Vision and Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence (AI) for robust grasping and manipulation in real-world scenarios. Dr. Leitner is the Amazon Robotics Challenge 2017 winner for robot grasping in a warehouse automation challenge. Dr. Leitner founded Brisbane.AI and the Brisbane Robotics Interest Group to promote the knowledge and engagement of robotics and AI in Brisbane, Australia. Dr. Leitner has also worked at the IDSIA Robotics Lab and received his PhD from the Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI) for his work on robotic learning for visual perception and actions on the iCub humanoid robot. Other work positions include Space Security and AI at the Advanced Concepts Team of the European Space Agency, and received a Masters of Space Robotics in a Joint European Master Programme (SpaceMaster) at Aalto (TKK) and the Kiruna Space Campus (LTU).
