Deep within the confines of a dream Matthew's having (but not really), the boys read a book about a plane crash, an unyielding urge to leap off mountains, and a small bird trapped in a wall. 

Not to break the FOURTH wall... but Lost in Narration follows two friends trapped in a fictional library. With no hope of escape, they resolve to read the library's many books, which are actually just absurd comedy scripts written by Matthew.
