In 2 Samuel 22, David sings a song of praise to God. He recounts all the ways God has been faithful to David despite his sin choices along the way. He praises God for His deliverance, cleansing, steadfast unfailing love, and victories. He gives all glory to God for everything God has brought him through - both the good and the bad. He sees himself in Christ - guiltless, innocent, cleansed, blameless, and righteous. He has a repentant heart and desires to chase after God with all he is, has, and does. This allows him to see himself in the true light of God. When we repent, turn from sin, and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are made new. We are made whole. We are redeemed. We are cleansed. God sees us as blameless, guiltless, shameless, righteous, and innocent. We should never look back. We should always keep our outlook on life and on ourselves based on our up-look. We look up. We look to Jesus. We trust Him because He is our rock and our salvation - for all eternity.
