Recab y Baaná, hijos de Rimón de Beerot, fueron y en pleno calor del día llegaron a la casa de Isboset, quien se hallaba durmiendo la siesta. Y he aquí, entraron en el interior de la casa como para llevar trigo, y lo hirieron en el vientre. Después Recab y su hermano Baaná se escaparon. Así que entraron en la casa mientras él estaba acostado en su cama, en su dormitorio, y lo hirieron y mataron. Luego le cortaron la cabeza, la tomaron y anduvieron toda la noche por el camino del Arabá. Llevaron la cabeza de Isboset a David, en Hebrón, y dijeron al rey: —¡He aquí la cabeza de Isboset hijo de Saúl, tu enemigo que atentó contra tu vida! El SEÑOR ha vengado hoy a mi señor el rey, de Saúl y de su descendencia.
Pero David respondió a Recab y a Baaná, su hermano, hijos de Rimón de Beerot, y les dijo: —¡Vive el SEÑOR, que ha rescatado mi vida de toda adversidad! Si cuando uno, imaginándose que me traía buenas noticias, me informó diciendo: “Saúl ha muerto”, yo lo prendí y lo maté en Siclag, en pago de sus buenas noticias, ¡cuánto más a unos hombres malvados que mataron a un hombre justo en su casa y sobre su cama! Ahora pues, ¿no demandaré su sangre de sus manos, eliminándolos de la tierra?
Entonces David dio orden a los jóvenes, y ellos los mataron. Luego les cortaron las manos y los pies, y los colgaron junto al estanque de Hebrón. Pero tomaron la cabeza de Isboset y la enterraron en el sepulcro de Abner, en Hebrón.

Llegó el momento en que el reino fue traspasado a David de forma inesperada. Isboset, el hijo de Saúl, fue asesinado por dos hombres de confianza que lo traicionaron. Dos líderes militares lo asesinaron cuando él estaba descansando, tomando su siesta habitual del día. Ellos le cortaron la cabeza y la llevaron a David como evidencia de su acto macabro.
Lo impresionante de este caso es que ellos pensaron que habían hecho un acto heroico. Ellos pensaron que eliminando a Isboset, David subiría al trono y serían recompensados por haber quitado el tropiezo a David.
Esto fue un grave error porque David había aprendido que Dios es el que pone y quita reyes, y que al tiempo de Dios él reinaría sobre todo Israel, no sobre solo una tribu.
David era un hombre paciente, perseverante, con dominio propio, tenía fe y confianza en Dios, era respetuoso con todos los que estaban en una posición de liderazgo, y era un hombre correcto y justo, sin tolerancia por la injusticia y la maldad.
Es por eso que estos hombres cometieron un grave error y lo pagaron con su propia vida, ya que se acercaron a la persona menos apropiada que pensaron les celebraría su dizque "hazaña", que más bien se convirtió en su sentencia de muerte.
Tengamos cuidado cuando alguien venga en nombre del Señor pero que realmente viene con un mensaje de perturbación, queriendo desanimarte para que no sirvas más a Dios o invitándote a seguir un falso evangelio, muy diferente al de la Biblia. Muchos tratan de engañar, intentando cambiar tus convicciones y principios, minimizando la intensidad del fervor con que te entregas al Señor, o burlándose de tu familia porque sigues los mandatos del Señor y no como ellos quisieran que lo hagas.
No te dejes llevar por esos que traen corrientes y costumbres que al final lo que hacen es separar tu familia trayendo división al hogar y a sus vidas espirituales. Al principio se muestran como seres espirituales pero son capaces de destruirte cuando tú no estás de acuerdo con ellos en algún asunto. Son capaces de cortar cabezas.
Sigue el consejo del apóstol Pablo en Romanos 16:17-18: “Pero les ruego, hermanos, que se fijen en los que causan divisiones y tropiezos en contra de la doctrina que han aprendido, y que se aparten de ellos. Porque tales personas no sirven a Cristo nuestro Señor sino a sus propios estómagos, y con suaves palabras y lisonjas engañan a los corazones de los ingenuos.”
Y el consejo del apóstol Judas, en versículos 18 al 21: “... En los últimos tiempos habrá burladores que andarán según sus propias pasiones, como impíos que son. Estos son los que causan divisiones. Son sensuales y no tienen al Espíritu. Pero ustedes, oh amados, edificándose sobre la santísima fe de ustedes y orando en el Espíritu Santo, consérvense en el amor de Dios..."

Then the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, set out and came at about the heat of the day to the house of Ishbosheth, who was lying on his bed at noon. And they came there, all the way into the house, as though to get wheat, and they stabbed him in the stomach. Then Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped. For when they came into the house, he was lying on his bed in his bedroom; then they struck him and killed him, beheaded him and took his head, and were all night escaping through the plain. And they brought the head of Ishbosheth to David at Hebron, and said to the king, “Here is the head of Ishbosheth, the son of Saul your enemy, who sought your life; and the Lord has avenged my lord the king this day of Saul and his descendants.”
But David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said to them, “As the Lord lives, who has redeemed my life from all adversity, when someone told me, saying, ‘Look, Saul is dead,’ thinking to have brought good news, I arrested him and had him executed in Ziklag—the one who thought I would give him a reward for his news. How much more, when wicked men have killed a righteous person in his own house on his bed? Therefore, shall I not now require his blood at your hand and remove you from the earth?” So David commanded his young men, and they executed them, cut off their hands and feet, and hanged them by the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ishbosheth and buried it in the tomb of Abner in Hebron.

The time came when the kingdom was handed over to David in an unexpected way. Saul's son Ishbosheth was killed by two trusted men who betrayed him. Two military leaders murdered him when he was resting, taking his usual nap for the day. They cut off his head and brought it to David as evidence of his macabre act.
The impressive thing about this case is that they thought they had done a heroic act. They thought that by eliminating Ishbosheth, David would ascend to the throne and they would be rewarded for having removed David's stumbling block.
This was a serious mistake because David had learned that God is the One who sets up and removes kings, and that in God's time he would rule over all Israel, not just one tribe.
David was a patient, persevering man, self-controlled, he had faith and trust in God, he was respectful of everyone who was in a position of leadership, and he was a correct and just man, with no tolerance for injustice and evil.
That is why these men made a serious mistake and paid for it with their own lives, since they approached the least appropriate person they thought would celebrate their so-called "feat", which rather became their death sentence.
Let's be careful when someone comes in the name of the Lord but really comes with a disturbing message, wanting to discourage you from serving God anymore or inviting you to follow a false gospel, very different from that of the Bible. Many try to deceive, trying to change your convictions and principles, minimizing the intensity of the fervor with which you give yourself to the Lord, or making fun of your family because you follow the Lord's commands and not as they would like you to do.
Do not get carried away by those who bring currents and customs that in the end what they do is separate your family bringing division to the home and their spiritual lives. At first they appear as spiritual beings but they are capable of destroying you when you disagree with them on a matter. They are capable of cutting heads.
Follow the advice of the apostle Paul in Romans 16:17-18: “Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.”
And the advice of the apostle Judas, in verses 18 to 21: “... how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God,...”

2 Samuel 4: Una acción malvada disfrazada como si viniera de Dios.
2 Samuel 4:5-12 RVA2015:
Recab y Baaná, hijos de Rimón de Beerot, fueron y en pleno calor del día llegaron a la casa de Isboset, quien se hallaba durmiendo la siesta. Y he aquí, entraron en el interior de la casa como para llevar trigo, y lo hirieron en el vientre. Después Recab y su hermano Baaná se escaparon. Así que entraron en la casa mientras él estaba acostado en su cama, en su dormitorio, y lo hirieron y mataron. Luego le cortaron la cabeza, la tomaron y anduvieron toda la noche por el camino del Arabá. Llevaron la cabeza de Isboset a David, en Hebrón, y dijeron al rey: —¡He aquí la cabeza de Isboset hijo de Saúl, tu enemigo que atentó contra tu vida! El SEÑOR ha vengado hoy a mi señor el rey, de Saúl y de su descendencia.
Pero David respondió a Recab y a Baaná, su hermano, hijos de Rimón de Beerot, y les dijo: —¡Vive el SEÑOR, que ha rescatado mi vida de toda adversidad! Si cuando uno, imaginándose que me traía buenas noticias, me informó diciendo: “Saúl ha muerto”, yo lo prendí y lo maté en Siclag, en pago de sus buenas noticias, ¡cuánto más a unos hombres malvados que mataron a un hombre justo en su casa y sobre su cama! Ahora pues, ¿no demandaré su sangre de sus manos, eliminándolos de la tierra?
Entonces David dio orden a los jóvenes, y ellos los mataron. Luego les cortaron las manos y los pies, y los colgaron junto al estanque de Hebrón. Pero tomaron la cabeza de Isboset y la enterraron en el sepulcro de Abner, en Hebrón.

Llegó el momento en que el reino fue traspasado a David de forma inesperada. Isboset, el hijo de Saúl, fue asesinado por dos hombres de confianza que lo traicionaron. Dos líderes militares lo asesinaron cuando él estaba descansando, tomando su siesta habitual del día. Ellos le cortaron la cabeza y la llevaron a David como evidencia de su acto macabro.
Lo impresionante de este caso es que ellos pensaron que habían hecho un acto heroico. Ellos pensaron que eliminando a Isboset, David subiría al trono y serían recompensados por haber quitado el tropiezo a David.
Esto fue un grave error porque David había aprendido que Dios es el que pone y quita reyes, y que al tiempo de Dios él reinaría sobre todo Israel, no sobre solo una tribu.
David era un hombre paciente, perseverante, con dominio propio, tenía fe y confianza en Dios, era respetuoso con todos los que estaban en una posición de liderazgo, y era un hombre correcto y justo, sin tolerancia por la injusticia y la maldad.
Es por eso que estos hombres cometieron un grave error y lo pagaron con su propia vida, ya que se acercaron a la persona menos apropiada que pensaron les celebraría su dizque "hazaña", que más bien se convirtió en su sentencia de muerte.
Tengamos cuidado cuando alguien venga en nombre del Señor pero que realmente viene con un mensaje de perturbación, queriendo desanimarte para que no sirvas más a Dios o invitándote a seguir un falso evangelio, muy diferente al de la Biblia. Muchos tratan de engañar, intentando cambiar tus convicciones y principios, minimizando la intensidad del fervor con que te entregas al Señor, o burlándose de tu familia porque sigues los mandatos del Señor y no como ellos quisieran que lo hagas.
No te dejes llevar por esos que traen corrientes y costumbres que al final lo que hacen es separar tu familia trayendo división al hogar y a sus vidas espirituales. Al principio se muestran como seres espirituales pero son capaces de destruirte cuando tú no estás de acuerdo con ellos en algún asunto. Son capaces de cortar cabezas.
Sigue el consejo del apóstol Pablo en Romanos 16:17-18: “Pero les ruego, hermanos, que se fijen en los que causan divisiones y tropiezos en contra de la doctrina que han aprendido, y que se aparten de ellos. Porque tales personas no sirven a Cristo nuestro Señor sino a sus propios estómagos, y con suaves palabras y lisonjas engañan a los corazones de los ingenuos.”
Y el consejo del apóstol Judas, en versículos 18 al 21: “... En los últimos tiempos habrá burladores que andarán según sus propias pasiones, como impíos que son. Estos son los que causan divisiones. Son sensuales y no tienen al Espíritu. Pero ustedes, oh amados, edificándose sobre la santísima fe de ustedes y orando en el Espíritu Santo, consérvense en el amor de Dios..."

2 Samuel 4: An evil action disguised as coming from God.
2 Samuel 4:5-12:
Then the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, set out and came at about the heat of the day to the house of Ishbosheth, who was lying on his bed at noon. And they came there, all the way into the house, as though to get wheat, and they stabbed him in the stomach. Then Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped. For when they came into the house, he was lying on his bed in his bedroom; then they struck him and killed him, beheaded him and took his head, and were all night escaping through the plain. And they brought the head of Ishbosheth to David at Hebron, and said to the king, “Here is the head of Ishbosheth, the son of Saul your enemy, who sought your life; and the Lord has avenged my lord the king this day of Saul and his descendants.”
But David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said to them, “As the Lord lives, who has redeemed my life from all adversity, when someone told me, saying, ‘Look, Saul is dead,’ thinking to have brought good news, I arrested him and had him executed in Ziklag—the one who thought I would give him a reward for his news. How much more, when wicked men have killed a righteous person in his own house on his bed? Therefore, shall I not now require his blood at your hand and remove you from the earth?” So David commanded his young men, and they executed them, cut off their hands and feet, and hanged them by the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ishbosheth and buried it in the tomb of Abner in Hebron.

The time came when the kingdom was handed over to David in an unexpected way. Saul's son Ishbosheth was killed by two trusted men who betrayed him. Two military leaders murdered him when he was resting, taking his usual nap for the day. They cut off his head and brought it to David as evidence of his macabre act.
The impressive thing about this case is that they thought they had done a heroic act. They thought that by eliminating Ishbosheth, David would ascend to the throne and they would be rewarded for having removed David's stumbling block.
This was a serious mistake because David had learned that God is the One who sets up and removes kings, and that in God's time he would rule over all Israel, not just one tribe.
David was a patient, persevering man, self-controlled, he had faith and trust in God, he was respectful of everyone who was in a position of leadership, and he was a correct and just man, with no tolerance for injustice and evil.
That is why these men made a serious mistake and paid for it with their own lives, since they approached the least appropriate person they thought would celebrate their so-called "feat", which rather became their death sentence.
Let's be careful when someone comes in the name of the Lord but really comes with a disturbing message, wanting to discourage you from serving God anymore or inviting you to follow a false gospel, very different from that of the Bible. Many try to deceive, trying to change your convictions and principles, minimizing the intensity of the fervor with which you give yourself to the Lord, or making fun of your family because you follow the Lord's commands and not as they would like you to do.
Do not get carried away by those who bring currents and customs that in the end what they do is separate your family bringing division to the home and their spiritual lives. At first they appear as spiritual beings but they are capable of destroying you when you disagree with them on a matter. They are capable of cutting heads.
Follow the advice of the apostle Paul in Romans 16:17-18: “Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.
