2 Samuel 7: Que la misericordia de Dios permanezca siempre en tu hogar.
2 Samuel 7:8-17:
“Ahora pues, dirás a mi siervo David que así ha dicho el SEÑOR de los Ejércitos: ‘Yo te tomé del prado, de detrás del rebaño, para que fueras el soberano de mi pueblo Israel. He estado contigo por dondequiera que has andado. He eliminado a todos tus enemigos de tu presencia, y haré que tu nombre sea grande, como el nombre de los grandes de la tierra. Asimismo, dispondré un lugar para mi pueblo Israel y lo plantaré para que habite en su lugar sin que sea molestado más, ni los inicuos vuelvan a afligirlo como al comienzo, desde el día en que constituí jueces sobre mi pueblo Israel. Y yo te daré descanso de todos tus enemigos.
“‘Además, el SEÑOR te declara que el SEÑOR te hará casa a ti. Cuando se cumplan tus días y reposes con tus padres, yo levantaré después de ti a un descendiente tuyo, el cual procederá de tus entrañas y afirmaré su reino. Él edificará una casa a mi nombre, y yo estableceré el trono de su reino para siempre. Yo seré para él padre; y él será para mí hijo. Cuando haga mal, yo lo corregiré con vara de hombres y con azotes de hijos de hombre. Pero no quitaré de él mi misericordia, como la quité de Saúl, al cual quité de tu presencia. Tu casa y tu reino serán firmes para siempre delante de mí, y tu trono será estable para siempre’ ”.
Natán habló a David conforme a todas estas palabras y conforme a toda esta visión.

En este capítulo vemos a David establecido en su reino, prosperado en todas las áreas de su vida, y por eso sintió en su corazón construir un templo para que el arca de Dios tenga un lugar permanente, porque el arca de Dios ha estado en tiendas y tabernáculos movibles en diferentes lugares desde que Israel estaba en el desierto cuando salió de Egipto.
En ese momento, Dios estableció un pacto con David para que su familia permaneciera en el trono para siempre. Más adelante en 1 de Crónicas veremos con más detalle este momento especial entre Dios y David.
David escuchó las palabras del Señor dándole un gran regalo y era Su misericordia. Dios mismo le confirmó que siempre tendría compasión y amor por sus descendientes, pero si ellos hacían algo indebido y se salían del camino recto, Dios los iba a castigar y corregir, pero nunca los iba a soltar, Él siempre extendería Su misericordia para que la casa de David siempre tuviera descendientes y Dios les mostraría el camino de la verdad para que ellos pudieran corregir sus acciones, y si ellos cumplían con la Palabra de Dios y eran fieles, la bendiciones de Dios serían derramadas sobre ellos.
Esta declaración de Dios para David era muy especial, precisamente porque Dios apartó Su misericordia de Saúl por su arrogancia y sus malas decisiones. Como consecuencia de eso, Saúl murió y trajo maldición a su familia; ninguno de sus descendientes continuó en el trono de Israel, excepto Isboset por unos pocos años.
¿Vemos la importancia de que Su misericordia nunca se aparte de una familia?
Como líderes de nuestro hogar, nunca dejemos de pedir al Señor que Su misericordia nos acompañe siempre. Ese es un regalo divino para cada hogar. Ahora disfrutamos de Su misericordia gracias a Su sacrificio en la cruz. Su compasión abunda en la tierra, y la pueden alcanzar todos aquellos que creen en Él. Pero no vayamos a cometer el error de muchos que abusan de esa gracia, que tienen la falsa percepción que Dios los bendice a pesar de que están tal vez cometiendo faltas delante de Dios o simplemente son negligentes en sus vidas espirituales y han dejado al Señor a un lado, dándole solamente las sobras de su tiempo y dedicación, y solo lo buscan cuando necesitan algo.
Recordemos las palabras del Señor en Éxodo 33:19: “... tendré misericordia del que tendré misericordia, y seré clemente para con el que seré clemente."
Y en Deuteronomio 5:10: “... y que hago misericordia a millares, a los que me aman y guardan mis mandamientos".
y más adelante en Deuteronomio 7:9-10: “Reconoce, pues, que el SEÑOR tu Dios es Dios: Dios fiel que guarda el pacto y la misericordia para con los que lo aman y guardan sus mandamientos, hasta mil generaciones, y que da retribución en su misma cara al que lo aborrece, destruyéndolo. Él no tardará en darla al que lo aborrece; en su misma cara le retribuirá.”
Así que, valoremos la presencia de Dios en nuestras vidas, cuando nos bendice, nos corrige, nos fortalece y nos protege. No hay nada más doloroso y tenebroso que vivir esta vida sin la misericordia de Dios. Que nos falte todo, excepto la misericordia de Dios.
Recuerda que si permanecemos fieles al Señor, en los momentos difíciles veremos la mano de Dios obrando para bien.
Dice Santiago 5:11: “He aquí, tenemos por bienaventurados a los que perseveraron. Han oído de la perseverancia de Job y han visto el propósito final del Señor, que el Señor es muy compasivo y misericordioso."

2 Samuel 7:8-17:
Now therefore, thus shall you say to My servant David, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “I took you from the sheepfold, from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people, over Israel. And I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have cut off all your enemies from before you, and have made you a great name, like the name of the great men who are on the earth. Moreover I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own and move no more; nor shall the sons of wickedness oppress them anymore, as previously, since the time that I commanded judges to be over My people Israel, and have caused you to rest from all your enemies. Also the Lord tells you that He will make you a house. “When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be his Father, and he shall be My son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the blows of the sons of men. But My mercy shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from before you. And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.” ’ ”
According to all these words and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David.

In this chapter we see David established in his kingdom, prospering in all areas of his life, and that is why he felt in his heart to build a temple so that the ark of God would have a permanent place, because the ark of God has been in tents and movable tabernacles in different places since Israel was in the desert when they left Egypt.
At that moment, God made a covenant with David so that his family would remain on the throne forever. Later in 1 Chronicles we will look in more detail at this special moment between God and David.
David heard the words of the Lord giving him a great gift and it was His mercy. God Himself confirmed that He would always have compassion and love for his descendants, but if they did something wrong and strayed from the right path, God was going to punish and correct them, but He was never going to let them go, He would always extend His mercy so that David's house would always have descendants and God would show them the path of truth so that they could correct their actions, and if they fulfilled the Word of God and were faithful, God's blessings would be poured out on them.
This statement from God to David was very special, precisely because God withdrew His mercy from Saul because of his arrogance and bad decisions. As a consequence of that, Saul died and brought a curse to his family; none of his descendants continued on the throne of Israel, except Ishbosheth for a few years.
Do we see the importance of His mercy never leaving a family?
As leaders of our home, let us never stop asking the Lord that His mercy be with us always. That is a divine gift for every home. Now we enjoy His mercy thanks to His sacrifice on the cross. His compassion abounds on Earth, and can be reached by all those who believe in Him. But let us not make the mistake of many who abuse that grace, who have the false perception that God blesses them even though they are perhaps committing faults before God or are simply negligent in their spiritual lives and have left the Lord aside, giving Him only the remains of their time and dedication, and they only seek Him when they need something.
Let us remember the words of the Lord in Exodus 33:19: “... I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”
And in Deuteronomy 5:10: “... but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.”
and later in Deuteronomy 7:9-10: “Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments; and He repays those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them. He will not be slack with him who hates Him; He will repay him to his face.”
So, let us value the presence of God in our lives, when He blesses us, corrects us, strengthens us and protects us. There is nothing more painful and scary than living this life without God's mercy. That we lack everything, except the mercy of God.
Remember that if we remain faithful to the Lord, in difficult times we will see the hand of God working for good.
James 5:11 says: “Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord—that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.”

As a consequence of that, Saul died and brought a curse to his family; none of his descendants continued on the throne of Israel, except Ishbosheth for a few years.
Do we see the importance of His mercy never leaving a family?
As leaders of our home, let us never stop asking the Lord that His mercy be with us always. That is a divine gift for every home. Now we enjoy His mercy thanks to His sacrifice on the cross. His compassion abounds on Earth, and can be reached by all those who believe in Him. But let us not make the mistake of many who abuse that grace, who have the false perception that God blesses them even though they are perhaps committing faults before God or are simply negligent in their spiritual lives and have left the Lord aside, giving Him only the remains of their time and dedication, and they only seek Him when they need something.
Let us remember the words of the Lord in Exodus 33:19: “... I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”
And in Deuteronomy 5:10: “... but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.”
and later in Deuteronomy 7:9-10: “Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments; and He repays those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them. He will not be slack with him who hates Him; He will repay him to his face.”
So, let us value the presence of God in our lives, when He blesses us, corrects us, strengthens us and protects us. There is nothing more painful and scary than living this life without God's mercy. That we lack everything, except the mercy of God.
Remember that if we remain faithful to the Lord, in difficult times we will see the hand of God working for good.
James 5:11 says: “Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord—that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.”

2 Samuel 7:8-17:
“Ahora pues, dirás a mi siervo David que así ha dicho el SEÑOR de los Ejércitos: ‘Yo te tomé del prado, de detrás del rebaño, para que fueras el soberano de mi pueblo Israel. He estado contigo por dondequiera que has andado. He eliminado a todos tus enemigos de tu presencia, y haré que tu nombre sea grande, como el nombre de los grandes de la tierra. Asimismo, dispondré un lugar para mi pueblo Israel y lo plantaré para que habite en su lugar sin que sea molestado más, ni los inicuos vuelvan a afligirlo como al comienzo, desde el día en que constituí jueces sobre mi pueblo Israel. Y yo te daré descanso de todos tus enemigos.
“‘Además, el SEÑOR te declara que el SEÑOR te hará casa a ti. Cuando se cumplan tus días y reposes con tus padres, yo levantaré después de ti a un descendiente tuyo, el cual procederá de tus entrañas y afirmaré su reino. Él edificará una casa a mi nombre, y yo estableceré el trono de su reino para siempre. Yo seré para él padre; y él será para mí hijo. Cuando haga mal, yo lo corregiré con vara de hombres y con azotes de hijos de hombre. Pero no quitaré de él mi misericordia, como la quité de Saúl, al cual quité de tu presencia. Tu casa y tu reino serán firmes para siempre delante de mí, y tu trono será estable para siempre’ ”.
Natán habló a David conforme a todas estas palabras y conforme a toda esta visión.

En este capítulo vemos a David establecido en su reino, prosperado en todas las áreas de su vida, y por eso sintió en su corazón construir un templo para que el arca de Dios tenga un lugar permanente, porque el arca de Dios ha estado en tiendas y tabernáculos movibles en diferentes lugares desde que Israel estaba en el desierto cuando salió de Egipto.
En ese momento, Dios estableció un pacto con David para que su familia permaneciera en el trono para siempre. Más adelante en 1 de Crónicas veremos con más detalle este momento especial entre Dios y David.
David escuchó las palabras del Señor dándole un gran regalo y era Su misericordia. Dios mismo le confirmó que siempre tendría compasión y amor por sus descendientes, pero si ellos hacían algo indebido y se salían del camino recto, Dios los iba a castigar y corregir, pero nunca los iba a soltar, Él siempre extendería Su misericordia para que la casa de David siempre tuviera descendientes y Dios les mostraría el camino de la verdad para que ellos pudieran corregir sus acciones, y si ellos cumplían con la Palabra de Dios y eran fieles, la bendiciones de Dios serían derramadas sobre ellos.
Esta declaración de Dios para David era muy especial, precisamente porque Dios apartó Su misericordia de Saúl por su arrogancia y sus malas decisiones. Como consecuencia de eso, Saúl murió y trajo maldición a su familia; ninguno de sus descendientes continuó en el trono de Israel, excepto Isboset por unos pocos años.
¿Vemos la importancia de que Su misericordia nunca se aparte de una familia?
Como líderes de nuestro hogar, nunca dejemos de pedir al Señor que Su misericordia nos acompañe siempre. Ese es un regalo divino para cada hogar. Ahora disfrutamos de Su misericordia gracias a Su sacrificio en la cruz. Su compasión abunda en la tierra, y la pueden alcanzar todos aquellos que creen en Él. Pero no vayamos a cometer el error de muchos que abusan de esa gracia, que tienen la falsa percepción que Dios los bendice a pesar de que están tal vez cometiendo faltas delante de Dios o simplemente son negligentes en sus vidas espirituales y han dejado al Señor a un lado, dándole solamente las sobras de su tiempo y dedicación, y solo lo buscan cuando necesitan algo.
Recordemos las palabras del Señor en Éxodo 33:19: “... tendré misericordia del que tendré misericordia, y seré clemente para con el que seré clemente."
Y en Deuteronomio 5:10: “... y que hago misericordia a millares, a los que me aman y guardan mis mandamientos".
y más adelante en Deuteronomio 7:9-10: “Reconoce, pues, que el SEÑOR tu Dios es Dios: Dios fiel que guarda el pacto y la misericordia para con los que lo aman y guardan sus mandamientos, hasta mil generaciones, y que da retribución en su misma cara al que lo aborrece, destruyéndolo. Él no tardará en darla al que lo aborrece; en su misma cara le retribuirá.”
Así que, valoremos la presencia de Dios en nuestras vidas, cuando nos bendice, nos corrige, nos fortalece y nos protege. No hay nada más doloroso y tenebroso que vivir esta vida sin la misericordia de Dios. Que nos falte todo, excepto la misericordia de Dios.
Recuerda que si permanecemos fieles al Señor, en los momentos difíciles veremos la mano de Dios obrando para bien.
Dice Santiago 5:11: “He aquí, tenemos por bienaventurados a los que perseveraron. Han oído de la perseverancia de Job y han visto el propósito final del Señor, que el Señor es muy compasivo y misericordioso."

2 Samuel 7:8-17:
Now therefore, thus shall you say to My servant David, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “I took you from the sheepfold, from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people, over Israel. And I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have cut off all your enemies from before you, and have made you a great name, like the name of the great men who are on the earth. Moreover I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own and move no more; nor shall the sons of wickedness oppress them anymore, as previously, since the time that I commanded judges to be over My people Israel, and have caused you to rest from all your enemies. Also the Lord tells you that He will make you a house. “When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be his Father, and he shall be My son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the blows of the sons of men. But My mercy shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from before you. And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.” ’ ”
According to all these words and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David.

In this chapter we see David established in his kingdom, prospering in all areas of his life, and that is why he felt in his heart to build a temple so that the ark of God would have a permanent place, because the ark of God has been in tents and movable tabernacles in different places since Israel was in the desert when they left Egypt.
At that moment, God made a covenant with David so that his family would remain on the throne forever. Later in 1 Chronicles we will look in more detail at this special moment between God and David.
David heard the words of the Lord giving him a great gift and it was His mercy. God Himself confirmed that He would always have compassion and love for his descendants, but if they did something wrong and strayed from the right path, God was going to punish and correct them, but He was never going to let them go, He would always extend His mercy so that David's house would always have descendants and God would show them the path of truth so that they could correct their actions, and if they fulfilled the Word of God and were faithful, God's blessings would be poured out on them.
This statement from God to David was very special, precisely because God withdrew His mercy from Saul because of his arrogance and bad decisions.
