<p>Correctional facilities - like those in the Indiana Department of Corrections (IDOC) - prefer using a cookie-cutter approach in rehabilitating convicts. So, a few individuals come out ready to go, while others crumble before getting a real second chance. While the reentry process for Andre, Chris, Haji, Jason, Jerome, and Raymond meant being free from Westville, the guys weren’t free from the IDOC.</p>

The truth of the reentry process no longer hides behind prison walls, thanks to 6 men from South Bend Reentry Center - Andre, Chris, Haji, Jason, Jerome, and Raymond. From interviews she got with the guys, Lilly follows their prison reentry process throughout the Indiana Department of Corrections - from Westville Correctional Facility to South Bend Reentry Center. Outside of the correctional system, with the Community Change Center, is where we find hope for a better reentry system.

We hope to educate people about prison reentry and encourage communities to invest in their returning citizens.
