Sonal graduated from Rice University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering and now works at Genentech, a biotech corporation dedicated to pursuing groundbreaking science to discover and develop medicines for people with life-threatening diseases.  At Genentech, she focuses on using digital transformation techniques to make manufacturing faster and more efficient, allowing medical drugs to reach patients at a quicker rate. Her primary expertise lies in machine learning, augmented and virtual reality, and IOT. Additionally, Sonal is the Head of Sales and Marketing at Techlab Education, a small business that teaches coding and various STEM topics to students at both the local and national level.
