Welcome to the second episode of the Intentional TESOL podcast! My name is Katie Leven! I'm a wife, mom of 2 premature girls, grade 4-12 ENL teacher, and professional development provider since 2009! I started this podcast because I want all teachers of English Language Learners (ELLs) to feel supported!
Today I will be teaching about newcomer ELLs, and specifically some traits of Ukrainian learners. I hope this knowledge will help you feel more prepared to meet the needs of your newest multilingual learners!
SPECIAL THANKS to Anastasiya Titarenko and the incredible staff at RBE-RN West for their information about students from the Ukraine!
The knowledge presented in this podcast is for informational purposes only. It come from my experience and research I have completed. It is accurate and complete to the best of my knowledge, but please contact me if you find inaccuracies so that I may fix them! Nonetheless, I will not be held liable in any way for the information.
