* An idle person is a lazy person - they refuse to move in the direction they know they’re supposed to go.
* An idle person is not a restful person, because only a working person can experience true rest.
* The opposite of idle is work.
* This is why they are disruptive people - they want to ruin others’ rest.
* From these verses we see two principles:
* 1) Don’t be idle!
* 2) Don’t hang around those who are!
* Show me your friends and I’ll show you your future.
* We need to be around people that pull us up not keep us down.
* vs 8 - the reward for work:
* 1) You’re not a burden to anyone.
* 2) You’re not beholden unto anyone.
* 3) You can be a blessing to everyone.
