Saint and Jim revisit the topic of toxic fandom in this episode. They didn't want to have to. They SHOULDN'T have had to. But the backward butt-skulls of certain corners of deep geekery keep forcing their hand. Bottom line: nerd media is getting more colorful, more queer, and more gender-diverse ALL THE TIME. That's the way Stan Lee wanted it, that's the way Gene Roddenberry wanted it, and that's how it's supposed to be. And it's time for the dusty dinosaurs to get on the boat — or be left in the wake.
