Calling from California. I follow Steve Rubel on Twitter. (Here's the whole story on my blog if you want the print version) He posted a link to a post written by Tangerine Toad called Ten Things I Hate About Twitter. The first thing the post said was basically he wishes people didn't tweet crap. I left a comment saying what I do is, I only follow people from whom I can learn. He said he got a bunch of traffic from Steve Rubel and he highlighted MY comment and wondered if what I described was the future of Twitter and how he could monetize it. Ugh. He assumes one's friends know about the topics I want to know about. My friends don't know about tech. I get my info from experts, like Steve Rubel. I want to follow (like I follow people on Twitter) my friends but on my phone, and using audio. So like, my friends would leave voicemail messages on an audio-Twitter and when I had time, I'd call in and listen to them. Someone invent that, then not pay me for the idea.

Dave Weiner wrote a post about people listening to everyone listening to everyone and people just posting and re-posting the same links. I want to put posts out there that aren't links, but ideas and unique content.
