As we know, to practice is to rehearse a behavior repeatedly, for the purpose of learning and eventually mastering a skill. Learning to praise God is no different. In the practice we often uncover things about ourselves that we didn’t know – perhaps its our distain for discipline or maybe we don’t like expressing ourselves in an outward manner. Praising God is a posture of the heart. If we practice praising Him, we will be surprised at the ease in which we turn to Him this way, when things are difficult, and praise seems an unlikely response. Listen and then, yes, practice it.
