At some point, we have to ask ourselves: “Is Andrew Garfield the best Spider-Man?” We will attempt to answer this question in Episode 20 of The Project Infinite Podcast as we continue our month of Spider-Man content with film retrospectives of “The Amazing Spider-Man” and “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.” We break down the fabulous portrayals of Peter Parker and Gwen Stacey by Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. We talk story beats that did (and mostly didn’t work) and a few underrated villain performances. We make the case that those movies are not as bad as you remember and Andrew Garfield is even better than you remember. Before we get to that, we react to trailers for Across the Spider-Verse and The Matrix: Resurrections. We talk casting for “The Last of Us” as well as Charlie Cox returning as Daredevil. We talk a bit about the confirmed sequel to Shang-Chi right before we dive into The Amazing Spider-Man movies. Full spoilers for both films if you somehow have never seen them. As always, thank you so much to everyone who supports us and continues to listen, download, and share with their friends and family!
