Flavio Affinito - Co-Founder of NuOceans. After months of research, travels and tests, NuOceans created its first prototype of sandals reusing old pairs of flip flops as raw material. These new sandals are designed to be durable, comfortable and to make sure they are themselves reusable in the future.

Now the founders are working to produce the first range of finished products and launch the brand on the market to enable people to express their love for the ocean, cleaning our seas one pair at a time!

Flavio moved to London to study Biology and Imperial College in the hopes of becoming a researcher in Marine Biology to follow his passion of working on marine mammals. After completing both undergraduate and Masters degrees there, he went to head a research team in Montenegro working on the marine life there. It is during this time that he began to doubt whether his research would have the impact he was truly committed to in life. So when one of his best friends invited him to come back and start a business venture of their own, he did.
