In this episode we have Harvard trained nutritional scientist, professional chef, and nutrition specialist, Dr. Uma Naidoo to discuss nutritional psychiatry. Our mental health is greatly influenced by what we decide to put into our bodies and we discuss how it can directly be affected. There is good bacteria in your gut as well as bad bacteria and we discuss what kind of foods or nutrients the different bacteria will eat, giving them more power to dominate the other depending on your diet. Eating for better health is a slow and steady process and you won’t start feeling better right away. We talk about the various different foods and things you can eat to either improve your mental health or make it worse.
