It was Jesus' prayer before being arrested that we would be blessed by our Father. Jesus speaks clearly and without pretense with God as he asks that we benefit from his big ask - "make them holy by the truth". He could have asked for our comforts in this world, or for taking us out of the world, but he knew the very core of existence here was to live spiritually alive and to receive our strength from God. Being holy is to be light and love in our world that is seeking both to see and to be seen.
