Inside the brain there is something called Mirror Neurons. Mirror Neurons is an expression scientists use to describe the behavior in neurons in a certain situation. If you see someone stub their toe, for example, the same pain area in your brain will light up usually causing you to flinch.

Scientists believe that somewhere in these mirror neurons lies the answer to empathy and somewhat the basis of our morality.
