20: Moral Objectivism and the Role of Inuitions

Listen Later

In this episode I discuss moral responsibility/moral objectivism and the role of intuitions in justifying positions within moral discourse. This episode is heavily influenced by Tamler Sommer's chapter on intuitions in the book Relative Justice. I argue that intuitions form the basis of many moral claims and through cross-cultural study we have learned that some of our most basic moral intuitions are not shared by people of other cultures. Twitter: @ChamelonPhiloEmail: [email protected]: ChameleonPhilosophyPodcast.podbean.comPatreon: Patreon.com/ChameleonPhilosophyPodcastRate us on Itunes or Overcast wherever you listen to podcasts
