To glean better understanding we should first note these three things from William Burkitt.

1)  “We should feel that there is nothing permanent on the earth”

2) “…this is not our abiding home”

3) “…our great interests are in another world.”

Those three points were contained in one sentence but, I separated them to make them more obvious.
