My Love in the Morning

Peter Kent wanted me to tow his truck 53 miles to have the transmission replaced, but I insisted he find some other way, as my truck is not capable of that sort of abuse.  I came home to help him find a way and bring phone books because he didn’t want to spend the 1.00 directory assistance.  While waiting for him I cleaned up the mess from making the desk on Thanksgiving and the porches.  I sent him the following poem, then Jamie and I went to work out, and shopped for towels and some clothes at the new Burlington.  Peter Kent went out and bought us some CD’s to play on his system as a celebration of our moving in together.  This was the poem and his response to the poem:

 

My Love in the Morning

 

Dawn makes its presence known complete

Though comes in quiet on cat feet

The sunlight filters through the shade

Upon the bed wherein we laid

 

It's gentle rays, so soft and meek

Steal their kisses upon your cheek

And I'm inclined to do the same

With passion for you I can't tame

 

I gently touch your supple skin

And yearn to feel you deep within

I think of pleasures that you store

With fond remembrance, more and more

 

I feel this overwhelming need

To straddle you, my virile steed

And ride you till I feel the rush

That causes me to outward blush

 

And then collapse upon your chest

Full knowing that I've had the best

Content in every single way

Till morn shall bring another day

If ever, anyone had more than they deserve, it is I.  Thank you my poetess, my rider of the steed, my roommate, my love.   You are a blessing each day that I spend with you.  I am amazed at the things you get done even when you are not getting anything done.   Truly we will have a great life.   Thanks. -
