New Teams. New Drivers. New Seats.. Let's find out all the goodies for 2002!

First of all, No more Murray Walker of course who retired and James Allen was the lead commentator with M. Brundle on co com!


Teams:-

Prost liquidated and were no longer around.. Phoenix Finance bought part of Prost and attempted to field Mazzacane and MArques from Malaysia, but were denied because they did not acquire ALL Of Prost.

Benetton were renamed as Renault.

 Toyota were a brand new Team in F1.

Driver Changes:-

No more Mika Hakkinen! He was on "Sabbatical" so was replaced by Sauber Driver Kimi Raikkonen.

Raikkonens seat was taken over by Euro F3000 Champ Felipe Massa.

Fisichella wanted out of Benetton so done a straight swap with Jarno Trulli in the Jordan.

Jordan Also elected for another new driver in Takuma Sato who replaced the Legendary Jean Alesi.

Jos Verstappen lost his drive at Arrows because they opted to go for H-H Frentzen from the now defunct Prost team.

Fernando Alonso, after impressing in 2001, joined Renaults Test Team for 2002 and his seat was taken by Mark Webber.

Toyotas first ever driver line up consisted of Mika Salo & Allan Mcnish.

Luciano Burti joined Luca Badoer as test drivers for Ferrari.

No room either for Tomas Enge who returned to International F3000 for 2002.

Antonio Pizzonia would be alongside Marc Gene, testing the Williams cars & Andre Lotterer would be testing duty for Jaguar.

Mclaren - David Coulthard & Kimi Raikkonen

Williams - Ralf Schumacher & Juan Pablo Montoya

Sauber - Nick Heidfeld & Felipe Massa

Jordan - Giancarlo Fisichella & Takuma Sato

BAR - Jacques Villeneuve & Olivier Panis

Renault - Jarno Trulli & Jenson Button

Jaguar - Eddie Irvine & Pedro De La Rosa

Arrows - Heinz-Harald Frentzen & Enrique Bernoldi

Minardi - Alex Yoong & Mark Webber

Toyota - Mika Salo & Allan Mcnish


All Engines were a 3 litre, V10 Config.
