One White Rose in a Dozen Red Ones
Carole writes Howie 8 Feb 2003 18:37:30 EST
Dear Howie, You are the dearest, sweetest man. I've been on the road all day and before my phone died Jamie called to say a box that looked like flowers had arrived and was driving all the volunteers crazy wondering who sent them to their "mom". They are beautiful and your choice of arrangement touched me deeply. I will be thinking of you all the way to Ruskin and back tonight. Of course, I would have been thinking of you anyway, but this makes the thoughts all the lovelier. Thank
you. I love you (and if you don't believe me, I'll SHOW you when you get home) Love, Carole

Sounds like I better take my vitamins tomorrow morning. Look forward to seeing you whenever you get there. Drive safely with that load! - Howie

Dear Howie, I had the choice of driving the spay trailer to Ruskin tonight or being there and unloaded before 6 am, so I went tonight. The ride went well, and I only had a little trouble getting out from under it. I am just thoroughly wiped out though and won't last two minutes once I hit the sack. I just wanted to thank you again for your thoughtfulness. The roses are just gorgeous and the arrangement is absolutely breathtaking. Driving home with them in the front seat of the truck they were quivering the same way you make me shiver in ecstasy. You are the greatest! - Carole
Poem for Howie Inspired by Roses
Carole writes Howie 10:53 PM 2/8/03:
The Gift of Your Love
I miss you when you're far away
Or just across this town
I miss you more, when e'er my day
Has been less up than down
I long for you and cannot wait
To be with you once more!
The roses that came to my gate
From you, whom I adore
Were fragrant sweet and petal soft
Just like your tender kiss
Reminding me how strong and oft
Of you I reminisce
The kindness and the love you show
Mean more than words can tell
I wonder if you truly know
The passion you compel?
Are you so good for your own sake
'Cause you can't help but be?
Or is the goodness I partake
A gift from you to me?
For every kiss and sweet caress
Feels like the World you've giv'n
Not only momentary bliss
But a piece of heaven!

I woke this morning out of a dream in which we were simply standing without clothes and I was gently running my hands over you. It was not even really a sexual dream in a way. I was just enjoying touching you. This dream was so incredibly vivid that I honestly was startled when I awoke and for a moment simply could not believe it was a dream. It was more like it was real and the kind of astonishment I would have if you suddenly vanished into thin air. Which, now that I think about it, it occurs to me you may actually be able to do that and have not yet told me? :-)
I'm glad you like the roses. - Howie
I've been writing my story since I was able to write, but when the media goes to share it, they only choose the parts that fit their idea of what will generate views. If I'm going to share my story, it should be the whole story. The titles are the dates things happened. If you have any interest in who I really am please start at the beginning of this playlist: http://savethecats.org/
I know there will be people who take things out of context and try to use them to validate their own misconception, but you have access to the whole story. My hope is that others will recognize themselves in my words and have the strength to do what is right for themselves and our shared planet.
