Learning Ways Howie and I Are Similar

Dear Howie,  Thank you for all of your assistance today.  I enjoyed having you beside me through much of the day.  It is hard to leave you, even when I know I will see you again shortly.  We have talked volumes about what I want, what I need and what is helpful to me.  You have mentioned that we need to talk about what we both desire and expect from a business aspect, and I have been doing all the talking.  I want to know what you want and how you want to approach all of this.  We need to devote some time to your feelings, desires and needs.  Just let me know when is good for you.

 

You seemed uncomfortable that I would "defer" to you regarding some of the contract issues.  You have no need for concern.  If one way is as good as another, I will defer to any preference you have.  If there is a reason to take a stand, I will explain why I don't think something is a good idea.  I won't just sit back and let you do something that I think compromising, just because you suggest it.  I think you may have felt that I was subjecting my will to yours because of my personal beliefs about the necessity of a woman doing that for her man, but I draw the line where I think there could be a negative impact that would effect you.  To the best of my ability, I will always protect you, even if from yourself.

 

I was impressed that you read the contracts.  It is in keeping with your good sense and what I perceive as an attitude of responsibility.  My feeling is, that if I sign my name to a contract, then I had better be willing to live and die by the terms.  I am glad to see that in you.  The more I see of your daily attitudes and interactions, the most I realize what a rare and wonderful person you are.  I am so happy to have this time with you.  Love, Carole

I know there will be people who take things out of context and try to use them to validate their own misconception, but you have access to the whole story.  My hope is that others will recognize themselves in my words and have the strength to do what is right for themselves and our shared planet.
