After signing Paul ‘Robbo’ Robinson in October to strengthen Albion’s defence, Megson dipped into the transfer market once more recruiting Mark Kinsella and Geoff Horsfield to bolster an already strong squad.

Those signings along with a young “One of our own” Lloyd Dyer proved pivotal to push the Baggies through the Promotion door in comfortable fashion in the end as Megson’s men never dropped out of the top two for the rest of the campaign.
