As we come to the end of Ruth, we see how God fills Naomi's perceived "emptiness" through:

1) Rejoicing in a marriage

2) Redemption in the flesh

3) Royalty in the future

In Ruth 4:1-12 we see how man's way of making sure your name is remembered is to concern yourself with self-interest, while God's way is to concern yourself with sacrificial love and service and leave the results to him.

In Ruth 3 we see how Boaz made for a perfect redeemer:

1-He was worthy

2-He was willing

3-He was working

In Ruth 2:14-23, Boaz points us to God as:

A source of people & place,A source of provision, and A source of protection

In Ruth 2:1-13 we are introduced to Boaz, and we learn that a man of true worth...

1) Keeps the law of God not just in letter, but in spirit

2) Knows that blessings come from God

3) Considers not just self-interest, but the well-being of others

In the opening verses of Ruth, we see a famine of food, a famine of faith and a famine of family: three famines to which Jesus is the ultimate answer.

Much like the disciples in Acts 1:6-11, we are often concerned with the wrong things.
