Took 2 Truckloads of Volunteers to Elmira’s Sanctuary
Carole writes Robin Greenwood:  Thank you very much Robin.  How about Wed., June 13 at 11 am?  We just went to the Great Ape Center this month, are going to the Bat Sanctuary in Gainesville in April and have our quarterly Volunteer Appreciation Day in May, so June is the next field trip I am trying to set.

I am guessing there will be 10-20 people coming, but can give you a better head count closer to the time.  The good news about our people is that we are so strict about not reaching over barricades or touching animals, or wandering off around here, that we are pretty easy cats to herd.

Our people love to round up needed items, in addition to the $10 pp tour fee, so if you have some particular items that you need, just let us know.  Also, we are happy to reciprocate a group tour for you and your family / volunteers.  Just let us know what works for you. For the cats,  Carole Baskin

Tribute to Modnic Tiger
It's been five days since holding Modnic's head as she made her peaceful exit from this world in the loving arms of her vet and keepers, but I can barely see to type how sad it is to walk by her enclosure and not be greeted by her gentle eyes, soft chuff and magnificent spirit. I am happy that she will never have to spend another day in a cage, but miss her so very much.

I've been writing my story since I was able to write, but when the media goes to share it, they only choose the parts that fit their idea of what will generate views.  If I'm going to share my story, it should be the whole story.  The titles are the dates things happened. If you have any interest in who I really am please start at the beginning of this playlist: http://savethecats.org/

I know there will be people who take things out of context and try to use them to validate their own misconception, but you have access to the whole story.  My hope is that others will recognize themselves in my words and have the strength to do what is right for themselves and our shared planet.
