The Assurance of the Battle Won

The Captain of the Lord of Hosts meets with Joshua before the battle of Jericho and give him directions on how it will be conquered. The plan of attack makes no sense unless faith is the essential ingredient. But the inference is that the Lord of Hosts had made the plan and would be present to see it accomplished; it was for Joshua and Israel to walk in faith. Our Lord has given us the “battle plan” and assured us of victory and is present with us to see it accomplished; it is but for us to walk in faith.
