Every year we get an in-depth close-up with the new cars at Ford, care of Jeffrey Powers. This year is a little special because the Ford Mustang, one of the best known vehicles in the Ford lineup, turns 50 years old.

With any new year comes a collection of changes to every vehicle, but an anniversary year is something else. This year, Rakesh Patel shows off some of the changes, including airplane-style buttons and controls and a new, streamlined dashboard; there are even changes to the engine selection, including a 2.3 liter EcoBoost engine with 305 horsepower and 300 foot-pounds of torque.

From sight to sound, everyone around will know this is a mustang on the road.
