Palm branches are a symbol. They are a symbol of a prosperity, beauty, and victory. That’s the way that the Jews viewed palm branches. They would use them in celebration of returning leaders from battles, and they also used palm branches during festivities and feasts. When Jesus came into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, they celebrated Him by laying palm trees and garments in His path.
