I’m thankful for another perfect FWC inspection by Steve Hough.
I’m grateful that he understands Ms Claws is not a good release candidate and I think he will be an advocate for having her moved to our permanent population. I know the FWC can be retaliatory for us trying to end the private exotic cat trade in FL, and that they could kill her, or turn her out to be eaten by coyotes, or send her to some horrible back yard breeder. We are all on edge until it’s confirmed that she can stay with us. She’s just totally oblivious to her surroundings and wouldn’t last a day. https://bigcatrescue.org/mrs-claws/
As much as I hate it when Howie is away (Sunday - Thursday this week) it does give me the chance to appreciate what we have because I know our time together is limited, and I want to make the most of it.

Hi, I’m Carole Baskin and I’ve been writing my story since I was able to write, but when the media goes to share it, they only choose the parts that fit their idea of what will generate views. I know there will be people who take things out of context and try to use them to validate their own misconception, but you have access to the whole story. My hope is that others will recognize themselves in my words and have the strength to do what is right for themselves and our shared planet.
