It’s just like Mickey Mouse!

 

 

I was riding my bike down the tour path when I intersected two tours.  One woman squealed, “Hi Carole!!! It’s just like seeing Mickey Mouse!”  She must have caught the confused look on my face and clarified loudly, “You know, seeing you in person is like seeing Mickey Mouse when you go to Disney world?!”  Well, that was a first.

 

So many exciting things are going on at the sanctuary to be grateful for.  The team over at Pixvana has been very helpful in getting our 360 video experiences into Oculus headsets.  Lauren Buckingham is doing a fantastic job with her 360 video production and just had over 130,000 views of PurrFection Ocelot which rivals some of our best flat video content.

 

Brittany Mira has taken a huge load off me by taking over Amazon and there isn’t a day that I’m not thankful that she’s capable of dealing with all of those issues; like listing high jackers, lost inventory, reporting, sourcing, etc.  Deb Quimby has done an equally impressive job of handling much of the product issues at CatRescue.biz but I still have to deal with customers who just will not check their measurements against the size charts.  Another case of coffee arrived from Deb today. 

 

The Alexa apps are expensive (over $11,000 so far) but I think they will have longevity and reach a new audience for us.  Sayed is working on the Big Cat Rescue Game skill right now and it’s going to be awesome as a tool to get people to do good things for cats and earn points by doing so. 

 

Jamie and Victor are improving the real estate properties and are working on getting the Gift Shop done before the Walkabout Nov 3.  They tore out the old memorial wall by Tiger Lake and replaced it with a respectable looking barricade.   Our barricades have always been the ugliest part of our experience here, so I’m glad they are doing something to improve the look and functionality.  

 

VeeR TV and Binge TV have been promoting our videos, so that’s gotten more eyeballs on the issues.  We just got a  $15,000 check for a two week period at Facebook and that number goes up every two weeks in leaps and bounds.  I’ve been spending more on advertising at Facebook as that has become such a great source of income.
