2019 New Year

Listen Later

Most of us underestimate what we can do in the long-term, but we overestimate what we can do in the short-term.

(Romans 13) "But make sure that you don't get so absorbed and exhausted--taking care of all your day-by-day obligations that you lose track of the time and doze off, oblivious to God. The night is about over, dawn is about to break. Be up and awake to what God is doing!" What is he doing? "God is putting the finishing touches on the salvation work he began when we first believed."

Future you is simply an exaggerated version of current you.

Time doesn't change who you are. It reveals who you are and makes you more of who you are.

(Proverb) Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, and he who rolls a stone will find it rolling back upon him.

#1— Have God Time.

Proverbs 8:34 “Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway.”

  • We speak God’s love language.

Psalm 1 --- “Blessed is the man… whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his word he meditates day and night.” He’s like a tree planted by steams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf doesn’t wither.  Whatever he does prospers.”

#2 - Seek the Kingdom

(Matthew 6:33 AMPC)  But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

  • We bring Heaven to earth.

#3 - Build Strong Relationships

(Romans 1:12) Paul says, “I’m eager to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by your faith.  In this way, each of us will be a blessing to the others.”

  • We know WE is better than Me.

#4 - Be Generous with our lives!

  • We let our generosity define us.

(1 Timothy 6:17-19 NLT)  Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.”

#5 - Help Others.

Psalm 41:1-2 --- “God blesses those who are kind to the poor and helpless.  He helps them out of their own troubles.  He protects them and keeps them alive; he publicly honors them and destroys the power of their enemies.”

(Philemon 1) “I pray that you will be active in sharing your faith, so that you will fully understand every blessing we have in Christ.”

  • We welcome everybody to our house.

#6 - Be Spirit Aware!

  • Code - We Live Led. (Romans 8:14)
