Players on 40-man rosters (but not in the Major Leagues) will now be allowed to compete in the Tokyo Games as well as the two qualifying tournaments before it. This means top prospects such as Wander Franco, Cristian Pache, Jo Adell, and Nate Pearson will be allowed to play for their countries.
