• Sea World Australia suffered the loss of beloved 19 year old Polar Bear Liya this week. Liya was the first polar bear to give birth in Australia, giving birth to Henry, who now lives in Canada and more recently Mishka who remains at Sea World.

• at Disneyland’s version of Galaxy’s Edge, play tests of R2D2 have started. However the OCregister have confirmed these are tests only, not a permanent addition.

• Six Flags Chinese development partner appears to be in financial difficulty as a trading halt has been called on the Riverside Investment Group.

• The annual Theme Park Insider awards have started being announced this week, with the first winners being Universal Orlando hotels Cabana Bay and Loews Portofino Bay.

• Knott's Berry Farm is adding a Build-a-Bear shop later this month to be located behind Mrs Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant.
