In the UK, we call today Easter Sunday. The Americans call it resurrection Sunday, which is a far more accurate description of the importance of today. It is the day we celebrate the single most significant event in history–the Bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15 that ….1. if Christ is not raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith (v14).2. if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins (v17).AND3.
