(CW: me talking to mouse, nothing important; no people in shot)

This is the second mouse we've caught with the Hav-a-Hart trap. Unfortunately we forgot to check the trap daily after setting it up in the laundry room (the first mouse was caught in the office, where I could see the trap from where I work), so it might have been there for a couple of days -- but apparently it was still fine, by the time I discovered it on the evening of 11/13. It probably subsisted on the peanut-butter bait at first, and then just didn't move much. I gave it more peanut butter and an egg-up of water, and then also a pecan the next morning to snack on until I was ready to take it outside.

I accidentally thwacked it with the door when trying to get it out -- oops. Sorry, mouse. 😦 Fortunately the doors are quite light and I don't think any damage was done.
