Father's Day Guest Speaker - Peter Janetzki

Peter is a Counsellor with a specialty in applied neuroscience and couple’s psychotherapy, as well as an Educator in private practice.
He holds a Master’s Degree from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and brings with him 40 years’ of experience working with people in a variety of settings, including as a Teacher, Youth Worker, School Counsellor, Advisory Visiting Teacher, Counsellor, Psychotherapists and University Lecturer.
In addition to his counselling practice Peter has been a sessional lecturer for nearly thirty years in the School of Social Sciences at Christian Heritage College Brisbane, teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students. His current lecturing load is within the Graduate Certificate in Applied Neuroscience which focuses on upskilling professions who work with people in applying brain science to achieve better outcomes in their field.
Between 2000 and 2017 Peter hosted almost 700 two-hour weekly talk back radio programs, focusing on life issues that are not often discuss in depth within broader community. As a result of his vast experience, he has regularly presented seminars on a range of topics from professional development to marriage and parenting issues as well as presenting at national and international conferences.
Peter has developed several training programs as well as co-authoring the book ‘Being a Bloke: Discovering the Essence of Authentic Aussie Masculinity’, Red Hill Publishing 2010. He is a Clinical Member of the Christian Counsellors Association of Australia and is listed on the PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia) National Register, and a Certified Member of the International Association of Applied Neuroscience.
Peter has been married to Neroli for 41 years they have two adult daughters and 5 grandchildren. They recently moved to the Glass House Mountains on the Sunshine Coast with their daughter Beck and her husband Matt and their two grandsons Zak and Benji. Peter delights in being a Grandad, he is also a passionate about authentic manhood, the Brisbane Lions, caravanning, and surf fishing.
