Matt and Gus had a chance during SEWE to sit down with Lt. Bruch to talk about fishery management and the role the U.S. Coast Guard plays. As the Commanding Officer of the U.S. Coast Guard’s Southeast Regional Fisheries Training Center, Lt. Bruce oversees the training, curriculum, and certification for the more than 150 Coast Guard Law Enforcement Officers that annually enter the Fisheries Training Program in Charleston, South Carolina. Lt. Bruce was recognized as the 2021 Law Enforcement Officer of the Year by the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council. We had a great and very informative conversation we think you'll enjoy.
