I'm Peter Serefine and this is the Liberty Minute for Wednesday, day 696 of 15 days to flatten the curve.

The US war on drugs started in 1971 and has cost American taxpayers over $1 trillion.  So, how's it going?

Last year there were 100,000 overdose deaths in the US.  That is a 30% increase over the previous year.

That doesn't sound good, but I'm sure Resident Biden has a plan.

So, what is the Biden administration doing?

  • The southern border is completely flooded with fentanyl which was responsible for 2 out of 3 overdose deaths last year.
  • Safe injection sites, because nothing says "drugs are bad" quite like giving a safe space to break the law
  • Free crack pipes because, well, equity

    • The 50-year war on drugs is just like every other federal program, wasteful and not effective.
