Châm-ngôn 18:12-15 Trước khi sự bại hoại, lòng người vẫn tự cao; Song sự khiêm nhượng đi trước sự tôn trọng.
Trả lời trước khi nghe, Ấy là sự điên dại và hổ thẹn cho ai làm vậy.
Tâm thần người nâng đỡ sự bịnh hoạn mình; Nhưng trí bị nao sờn ai chịu sao nổi?
Lòng người khôn khéo được sự tri thức; Và tai người khôn ngoan tìm kiếm sự hiểu biết.

Proverbs 18:12-15 Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.
He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.
The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?
The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.
