Spencer comes from a family with deep rowing history. Spencer's Grandfather was a rowing coach, Spencer's father was a rowing coach, and it only makes sense that Spencer became a rowing coach. Spencer started his rowing career taking naps in his dads launch while he coached, then went on to a great career at Princeton and is now the head coach at Deerfield Academy, where he coaches with one of his brothers. You could say that Spencer was born to be a rowing coach!
