The Gift of Interpretation of Tongues – One of the spiritual gifts mentioned in the New Testament is the Gift of Interpretation of Tongues. Interpretation of Tongues is the Holy Spirit's ability to empower believers to interpret (explain the meaning of ) a message given in an unknown or heavenly tongue. Interpretation is NOT a translation, but rather an exhortation of the meaning of a tongue.  Paul made this clear when he wrote to the Corinthians. "...Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, and another is given the ability to interpret what is being said" - 1 Corinthians 12:10.
