i went to a book sale today and i judged all the books by their covers. or more specifically, their spines. i chose the books based on the lettering on their spines and i guess we’ll see how it goes! but wow, ugh, some book covers are so ugly. i’m just hoping that if i’m drawn to the aesthetic of the cover art then i may be drawn to the content or style of writing? i judge people based on their aesthetics also (it’s a shortcut we all take, yah?) but it gets confusing because of places like urban outfitters and also because some of my favorite people have truly upsetting fashion sense. but like books, and people, i love a good recommendation. that way i don’t have to make time-saving judgements based on aesthetics. so what/who would you recommend to me?
