Exodus 32:11-13
In this prayer, Moses prays to God on behalf of the Israelites after the golden calf incident. He asks a strange question, “Why should your anger burn against your people?” The answer should be obvious - they just been worshiping the golden calf! But Moses is bold in appealing to God to show mercy. While we need to be humble in our approach to God, He wants us to be bold in our asking. This is especially true when our requests are consistent with God’s character.
