On 25 JAN 2023, photos and videos surfaced from Europe where it appears that Romaine Febvre from the KRT Factory Kawasaki Racing Team in MXGP was riding a pre-production bike. From what we can gather, Romaine was riding a "2024" Kawasaki KX450 Pre-Production model. It is said that he will be racing this bike in the 2023 MXGP Series beginning in March. This is a move similar to the one made by Tim Gajser in 2020 where Tim went on to win the title. He began the season aboard the yet-to-be-released 2021 CRF450RWE.
