Susan Harwood is a Gender Equality and Social Inclusion

specialist. She is also a coach, trainer, facilitator and mediator. In her busy professional life, Susan engages in remote work in the Pacific on gender equality, social inclusion and climate change. Herp practitioner skills are firmly grounded in research completed through her 2006 PhD work on “Gendering Change:

An Immodest Manifesto for Intervening in Masculinist Organisations”. It was a major collaborative and participatory action research project between the

University of Western Australia and Western Australia Police.  This 3-year project applied a participatory

methodology to engage, train and facilitate six insider research teams of men and women to apply a “gender lens ” to the involved organisations.
