• We were spiritually lifeless due to our sinfulness.
• We were willing participants in the devil’s rebellion.
• We were enslaved to our fleshly desires.
?- Not born again? – Am I concerned about how this passage describes me?
?- Even if I don’t feel like I experienced being 3-level-deep dead, do I trust what God says about what my condition was?
?- Do I see the wisdom of God’s Word when it tells me not to be “bound” with an unbeliever in 1 Corinthias 6:14?
?- Do I see how necessary it was for God to sovereignly initiate my salvation and see it through?
Be Grateful God United Us with the Work of Christ. (4-7)
• God overcame our sinfulness with His loving mercy.
• God re-created us, saving us from our sin.
• God joined us to the accomplishments of Christ.
?- Am I grateful that God united me with the work of Christ?
?- Do I regularly remind myself of what being IN CHRIST means?
