I. We arrived as the sun was setting to check out the museum grounds when we heard the distinctive sound of a steam locomotive whistle and saw a distant plume of smoke in the hills. We set up near the tracks and caught the inbound excursion train shoving into the depot at East Ely.

II. The next morning we arrived at the roundhouse to help get NN 93 ready for a day out on the rails. Soon the regular crew was backing the locomotive out of the building and inviting us aboard to learn how to operate a steam locomotive. We traveled light engine to the end of the line at Keystone where the fireman oiled around before making the return trip to East Ely.

III. Later in the day, the 93 pulled a special excursion train for trustees of the Nevada Northern. We chased it out along the Lincoln Highway to Keystone.
