Biblical Distinctive #6: The Role of the Family

In this episode of the Ambassadors Baseball podcast, we focus on a critical biblical distinctive: the role of the family in discipleship.

While Ambassadors exists to support and reinforce spiritual growth, Scripture makes it clear that the home is the primary place where discipleship happens. Drawing from Deuteronomy 6, we discuss how parents are called to intentionally teach and model God’s Word in everyday life.

This episode challenges families to guard against allowing sports and busy schedules to replace what should be happening in the home. Players are encouraged to recognize and respect the role their parents have in shaping their lives, while parents are reminded that faithful, consistent presence matters more than perfection.

Our goal is to strengthen families so that discipleship is not just something that happens at practice, but something that flows from the home into every area of life.
